KILGORE, TX (KLTV) - A reward for information leading to an arrest in a Kilgore murder case has now been raised to $2,000.

Kilgore Police Department announced Wednesday via social media that Gregg County Crimestoppers has raised the reward for information on the New Year's Eve homicide.

At 11:34 p.m. that evening, officers responded to the Meadow Green Apartment Complex. Outside they found the body of Tracy Lynn Reedy, 50, lying on the sidewalk with what appeared to be multiple gunshot wounds.

Police identified Dwight Patrick Scott as a suspect in the case. Police say Scott fled the scene before officers arrived.

An arrest warrant was issued for Scott for the offense of murder and a $1 million bond was set.

But police say they later learned Scott had fled the city immediately after the murder and had traveled to the Chicago Metropolitan area - including the cities of Gary, Hammond and Portage Indiana.

KPD says Scott also has family in the Dallas/Fort Worth Metroplex.

"Multiple law enforcement agencies have assisted with the ongoing search for Scott but he remains a fugitive," KPD said in a statement posted to social media.

The reward for information leading to Scott's arrest was raised on June 5.

To provide information on his whereabouts, contact the Gregg County Crime Stoppers at 903-236-STOP (7867).
