EAST TEXAS (KLTV) - The day begins with patchy fog across East Texas. The fog is expected to lift by mid morning. Today will feature a mix of sun and clouds with isolated showers and storms. Coverage of the showers will be small, but a strong thunderstorm or two is possible. Most of the area will remain dry and see more sunshine than has been seen in the past few days of the work week. Highs will be in the low 90s.
Mostly sunny skies return Thursday. Sunshine lasts through the work week. Highs will be in the low to mid 90s for the rest of the week. This weekend will be mostly sunny and hot. There is a small chance for a pop-up shower around peak heating hours in the afternoon. Any pop-up convection is expected to be brief, and chances diminish as the sun sets.
The first couple of days of the new week will be very similar to the weekend. Expect a mix of sun and clouds with mild mornings and hot afternoons. Isolated showers due to daytime heating will be possible, but most will not see the rain. Along with the heat, humid conditions will persist.
