LONGVIEW, TX (KLTV) - Longview Fire used the Jaws of Life to remove a passenger from a car that crashed into the back of a tractor-trailer Tuesday afternoon.
The crash happened around noon in the 1400 block of W. Loop 281 in Longview.
Police say a tractor-truck was hauling a trailer carrying 3 vehicles parked on the side of the road. According to officials, the tractor-trailer carrying 3 vehicles was parked on side of road when a passenger car hit the rear side of the parked trailer and swerved left. The driver continued driving for some time until they pulled over. The driver of passenger car was okay. However, the passenger's leg was trapped by twisted metal.
Longview Fire responded to the crash. They had to use the Jaws of Life to get the passenger out. The passenger was transported to the hospital.
A few lanes of traffic are blocked on W. Loop 281 as crews work to clear the wreck.
