(KLTV) - Tyler native and former Heisman trophy winner Johnny Manziel returned to pro football Friday night, his CFL debut. In a losing cause 36-18 to Toronto in pre season play.
Manziel played 22 snaps on five possessions, this just two weeks after joining the Hamilton Tiger-Cats,
for the offense he showed some of his talents that won him the Heisman at Texas A&M. Completing 9 of 12 pass attempts,
While also being sacked twice Manziel did say he heard trash talk thrown his way, taking it in stride. He came off the bench for starter Jeremiah Masoli, coach June Jones
pretty much says until Masoli shows he can't do the job he'll remain the starter.
