CHEROKEE COUNTY, TX (KLTV) - One person after a two-vehicle crash in Cherokee County.
According to the Department of Public Safety, at about 1:20 p.m. troopers responded to a fatal wreck on US-84, four miles west of the city of Reklaw. The preliminary crash reports show that a 2015 Ford F-150, driven by Cole Falzerano, 19, of Milford, was traveling east on US-84 when they allegedly passed in a "no passing" zone. The vehicle was struck by a westbound 2013 Hyundai Veloster driven by Bridget Stinson, 46, of Rusk.
According to DPS, Stinson was pronounced dead at the scene by Judge Rodney Wallace. There were two other passengers in the vehicle, Lindsey Fannin, 18, of Rusk and a 2 year-old child. Fannin was transported to UT-Health East Texas, Tyler and the child was transported to Children's - Dallas. Stinson was taken to the Wallace Thompson Funeral in Rusk.
Falzerano was transported to UT-Health East Texas, Tyler.
The crash remains under investigation.
