GILMER, TX (KLTV) -

A Gladewater man was indicted for capital murder and aggravated assault in connection with a March 6 shooting incident at a home on Private Road 1999 that left two people dead and another person injured.

Joseph Lee Adkins was indicted for capital murder and second-degree felony aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.

According to a previous East Texas News story, Upshur County Sheriff’s Office deputies were called out to a home on PR 1999, which is near Highway 271. Lisa Ann Moore, 49, and Dylan Moore, 19, both of Gladewater, were found dead at the scene.

The injured individual was taken to a hospital.

Adkins allegedly took off after the shooting incident, and UCSO deputies put out a description of his vehicle. He was located in Longview in the 3000 block of Highway 80 and West Loop 281.

“All persons related to this case were known to each other,” a press release stated. “Investigators suspect this to be connected to ongoing domestic issues between the actor and the victims.”
