Senate Ready To Move In Hurricane Aid Request

Senate Majority Leader Bill Frist says lawmakers are ready to quickly approve more money to pay for the recovery from Hurricane Katrina.

Frist says the second emergency spending request from the administration will be for a "significant amount." Congressional sources believe the request will be around 40 (b) billion dollars.

Frist says the money would cover relief and recovery efforts for the next several weeks.

Congress has already approved more than ten (b) billion dollars and more funding requests are expected.
