Tyler police rescue woman allegedly pulled into van against her will by ex-boyfriend

From Tyler Police Department:

On Wednesday, May 16, 2018 around 1:52 p.m., Tyler Police responded to 1323 E. Houston in reference to a welfare concern.

Officers were told that a red Dodge Van occupied by two males had pulled up in front of the residence and forced a female into the van against her will.  Officers were told that one of the suspects was believed to be a boyfriend to the victim. A short time later officers were able to locate the vehicle in the 200 block of Herndon Street with the suspect and victim inside.  The victim was unharmed during the incident.

The suspect was arrested on sight after investigators determined what had occurred.  The suspect is identified as Damajere Utah Williams, B/M, age 28 of Tyler.  Williams was charged with Kidnapping.
