Longview duplex fire now being investigated as intentional

LONGVIEW, TX (KLTV) -

A Longview duplex fire may have been intentionally set, officials say.

One person was found dead after crews extinguished the May 9 fire. A preliminary autopsy report shows the victim - identified as Johnny Quentin Miller Jr., 44, of Longview - had hemorrhaging on the interior of his neck. Additionally, no soot was found in his airway.

The cause of death is pending.

At 11:04 a.m. May 9, Longview Fire Department firefighters were dispatched to the duplex fire at 1717 of Loring Lane. Miller Jr.'s body was found at 1715 Loring Lane.
