Henderson County deputies make 5th arrest in gaming room bust

HENDERSON COUNTY, TX (KLTV) -

Deputies with the Henderson County Sheriff’s Office have arrested a fifth person charged in connection with a gaming room bust on May 1.

Amye Michelle Brown, 46, of Mesquite is charged with engaging in an organized criminal activity, keeping a gambling place, gambling promotion and two counts of possession of gambling device.

Sheriff Botie Hillhouse said Brown was arrested Sunday at the game room. He said there was a party there and deputies went there and arrested her on the warrants.

Deputies raided the business on County Road 2803 outside of Eustace and seized 44 machines and more than $9,000 in cash. They arrested four people on the scene.

According to an arrest affidavit, Brown’s name is listed on ownership documents.

Deputies obtained a warrant for her arrest on May 9.
