Gladewater PD investigating attempted robbery, store employee shot at

GLADEWATER, TX (KLTV) -

Gladewater police are investigating an attempted robbery.

On Sunday around 11:50 p.m. police were dispatched to the G&J Food Mart in reference to an attempted robbery. 

When police arrived on scene they were told the suspect displayed and fired a small semi-automatic handgun after demanding money from the cashier. At least one shot was fired. The employee was not injured. 

The male suspect in the case is approximately 6 feet tall and between 200 and 250 pounds. This subject was last seen wearing a white cloth mask, dark blue or black clothing, including a hoodie, and black shoes.
