TYLER, TX (KLTV) -

Students from Tyler Junior College are preparing for a ten day trip to Costa Rica.

KLTV 7's Erika Bazaldua and Jamey Boyum are traveling with the students and staff to Central America for this trip of a lifetime.

The journey began at 3 a.m. this morning when they left Tyler. The group will arrive in Liberia around 2 p.m. Monday afternoon.  The group will begin with tours of the city and they will meet with students from the university.

Starting Tuesday they will begin a full week and a half of service work. Service projects will serve as the foundation of the students' time in Costa Rica.

This will be the program's 10th journey to the Central American nation.
