(KLTV/KTRE) - East Texan Keke Coutee was drafted 103rd by the near to his home town Houston Texans. All the well wishers and congratulations are on hold for now, the love came out in droves after being drafted. Now comes the next phase, making the final 53 man roster as a wide receiver and special teams player. Coutee has the speed and was a top productive player at Texas Tech and the Big 12. But the NFL isn't college, and Texans head coach Bill O'Brien says Coutee had an impactful career at Texas Tech, but this isn't the college ranks. O'Brien does like the make up of Coutee and says he's the kind of player that can make a difference, if he can play at this level. The Lufkin native has always heard that he's too small to play football, so he plays with a chip on his shoulder, and it got him drafted. DeShaun Watson is an upcoming superstar, throwing bombs is his game, speed kills and has never known to have a bad day. So Coutee is out to make an impression one that is very long lasting. Interesting side note, Texans open their pre-season on the road in Kansas City, who's QB is Coutee's former college QB Patrick Mahomes. But he'll be throwing bombs to new teammates.
