Tyler FD free woman from car after 2-vehicle wreck at MLK BLVD, Grand Ave

Tyler - Personnel from the Tyler Fire Department freed a woman was trapped in her overturned car after a two-vehicle wreck that occurred near the intersection of Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard and Grand Avenue Wednesday morning.

The drivers of both vehicles were transported to a Tyler hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.

The Tyler Police Department reported that the two-vehicle "pin in" wreck occurred at the intersection of Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard and Grand Avenue at about 11:20  a.m. Wednesday morning.

Tyler PD officers at the scene said one vehicle was traveling north on Grand Avenue when its driver failed to stop at a stop sign and hit an eastbound vehicle, causing it to roll over. Tyler Fire Department personnel worked quickly to rescue the woman trapped in the overturned car.
