Criminal charges dismissed against two East Texans in 2015 Waco biker shooting

TYLER, TX (KLTV) - Criminal charges related to the 2015 shooting in Waco have been dropped against two East Texans.

Prosecutors announced Tuesday that cases against Jason Lee Cavazos, of Arp, and James Laray Gray, of Tyler, are among 62 dismissed.

Charges remain against Jason Alan Dillard, of Winona; Marshall Mitchell, of Longview; William Chance Aikin, of Talco; and Kyle Smith, of Kilgore.

The McClennan County district attorney's office said the dismissals were requested in order to focus on "more culpable" cases.

The shooting outside a club in Waco involving law enforcement and two rival biker gangs left 9 dead and 20 others injured.

Charles Wayne Russell, of Tyler, was among those killed.
