Red Springs Fire responds to report of logging machinery on fire

Tyler - Fire departments responded to a skidder on fire in Tyler.

According to the Smith County Fire Marshal's Office, the burning skidder was located on the 5,000 block of County Road 380. When firefighters arrived on the scene they found the skidder completely engulfed in flames.

Red Springs and Chapel Hill fire departments responded to the scene.

According to officials on the scene, a man was using the skidder to move logs when the machine caught on fire. The reason for the fire is unknown. The residence near was never in danger, according to officials.

There were no injuries reported.
