The Alto High School "Mean Sting Music Machine" traveled to San Antonio in the early morning hours on Friday, April 27. The band, under the leadership of band director Tim Ektefai, lined up, ready to march the three-mile long parade route which began at East Grayson and Broadway. The route took them past the Alamo where they stopped to perform live on a local station there.

The school says there were 2,500 parade entries, 25 of which were bands, including the Aggie Band. It is estimated that 350,000 people were in attendance at the parade.
