(KLTV/KTRE) - Whitehouse and Texas Tech receiver Dylan Cantrell's dream came true, he's headed to the NFL. Since being a little boy this was a dream of his getting drafted. Makes no difference where you get chosen, you just want to have a shot to make a roster. Cantrell's big body, soft hands, and work ethic more than give him a shot. One scout says though he was drafted in the sixth round, his value speaks higher. His parents Kenny and Shelly Cantrell are very proud of what he has accomplished to this point. His work ethic is second to none, and he's not afraid to put in the work. His teammate Kiki Coutee was the first East Texan to get drafted over the weekend, going to Houston. Deshaun Watson needs depth to add to his arsenal, and Coutee's exciting playmaking style will fit perfectly into the Texans up tempo offense. Coutee is going to be an exceptional kick returner, with his quick moves and vision. A pair of Texas Tech Raiders got the call, so did Greenville native John Franklin, the SFA defensive lineman was tabbed to play for the LA Rams. The East Texas NFL pipeline is alive and well.
