Breast feeding, Postpartum Women, Infants, and Children up to age 5

For Hurricane Katrina Victims:


The Northeast Texas Public Health District/Women, Infants, and Children up to age 5 (WIC) Program can help those who are categorically eligible with food and formula vouchers.  Pregnant, breastfeeding, and postpartum Women, infants, and children up to age 5 can qualify.  We provide food vouchers that include milk, juice, cheese, cereal, eggs, and beans or peanut butter, formula vouchers for infants up to 1 year of age.  We can also provide Breastfeeding mothers with electric breast pumps, if needed.


You do not have to be checked-in through Red Cross beforehand.  We will take walk-ins.  You do not need an appointment.  Please call one of the following clinics and they will let you know what you need to bring:

When you call the clinic you will be given priority and will receive food vouchers to purchase food/formula the same day as your appointment.
