(KLTV/CNN) - Fourth year in a row that the Masters winner is a first time winner of the traditional event in Augusta, he's finished runner up in two majors Sunday was his day. The San Antonio native played his college golf at Augusta St, so imagine the feeling of pulling off the Masters win. He had a key role in the Ryder Cup being nicknamed Captain America. Sunday his win was for him, he was being chased by Jordan Spieth and Rickie Fowler, but his 15 under was just too much to overcome. However Fowler was on his heels losing by just one stroke. Tiger Woods a four time Masters champ couldn't deliver on the hype but in all fairness golf fans pushed the hype not Tiger. He had a few decent outings and folks were ready to proclaim he was back, he'd finish one over, shooting a final round 69. Saying he's made much progress since his last major appearance back in 2015. But for now it's Reed who is the front runner, but you know Spieth isn't going anywhere. Expect duels between these two, and for Reed's home town where "remember the Alamo" is the battle cry he hopes to give them more to remember.
