Shelby County Sheriff's Office searching for man missing since Friday

SHELBY COUNTY, TX (KLTV) -

The Shelby County Sheriff's Office is actively looking for an East Texas man.

Luther David Whitton, 66, of Joaquin, TX was last seen at his residence on County Road 3853 in Joaquin around 1 p.m. on April 6.

He is described as a white male, 160 lbs, 5'6" inches tall, with blue eyes and thinning brown hair. Whitton has numerous medical issues as well.

He was last seen wearing a Dickie brand blue jeans, work boots, glasses, and a hat. The color of his shirt is unknown, but he normally wears solid colored cotton t-shirts.

Whitton owns a tan 2011 Dodge Ram 1500 4-Door Extended Cab Truck with the Texas plate BL79648. There is a small dent in the tailgate and the driver side running board is missing.
