Today put a whole new meaning into the saying "Happy Friday" for four children in Hallsville.

Mom came home from training in Virginia to surprise her kids at school.

Rachael Goswick has been in training for a military occupational specialty code at Ft. Lee for the past 6 months. Goswick is a PV2 in the Army.

She and her husband have four children, Cason, 10, Paige, 9, Brinley, 7 and Kleat, 4.

Cason got a wonderful surprise this morning. He saw mom walking down the hall of Hallsville Intermediate.

"I contacted the school telling them that I was flying in and he didn't know I was arriving. The night before they sent a memo to all the teachers and said a special guest was coming," said Goswick.

A special memory in the works, thanks to mom, who says her son's school didn't have to do this.

"The school is amazing. I went there and Hallsville is just so caring," said Goswick.

Goswick says she feels very blessed to be back home. She says she is set to deploy this Fall, so she has some big plans for their family while she's home.

"Spending every day with them, watching as many of their games as possible before leaving. Making as many memories as possible," said Goswick.

Welcome home Goswick and thank you for your service.
