EAST TEXAS (KLTV) - A strong cold front will be pushing into the northern edges of East Texas this evening and progressing south through the region into the overnight hours.
Expect heavy showers and strong thunderstorms along this cold front. Many storms could be strong to severe with the main threats being hail and high wind along with a few isolated tornadoes. Most of East Texas is under an enhanced risk for severe storms from the Storm Prediction Center.
Timing will begin early Friday evening in areas along Interstate 30 and progress south into Deep East Texas by 10 p.m.-midnight. Storms will end shortly after midnight, but light rain could continue through Saturday morning.
