PALESTINE, TX (KLTV) - Palestine Independent School District says an arrest has been made in one of three incidences of violent message threats at the high school.
Since March 27, the Palestine Police Department has been investigating three instances of messages threatening violence left at Palestine High School.
On Wednesday, April 4, detectives say they arrested a 17-year-old high school student for one of the incidents that occurred on April 3. The student, Daniel Hayes, was charged with false alarm or report in a public secondary school, a state jail felony.
The student was taken to the Anderson County Security Center. The department has assisted Palestine Independent School District personnel during two other incidents at the high school on March 27 and today, April 5. Those incidents are still under investigation.
