GILMER, TX (KLTV) - A student has been arrested after making verbal threats in front of students at Gilmer High School.
And, Upshur County Sheriff Larry Webb tells KLTV, he is now charged with making a terroristic threat.
Concerned parents have called our newsroom claiming their children told them a gun was found on a roof of a building.
Gilmer Superintendent Rick Albritton tells KLTV, no gun was found.
He says, staff and police searched the entire building, along with a canine search when the building was empty.
The student was removed from the high school Thursday.
Albritton said, "Gilmer ISD is cooperating with the local sheriff's department."
