Jacksonville man accused of using bat, golf club, hammer to kidnap, sexually assault person

CHEROKEE COUNTY, TX (KLTV) - Deputies with the Cherokee County Sheriff's Office have arrested a Jacksonville man accused of sexually assaulting a woman last month.

Charles Anthony Nelson, 41, is charged with first-degree aggravated sexual assault and first-degree aggravated kidnapping.

According to an arrest affidavit, on March 9, Nelson held someone against their will, using a baseball bat, golf club, and hammer and sexually assaulted them.

A judge signed a warrant for Nelson's arrest on March 26. He was arrested on the charge on Monday.
