EAST TEXAS (KLTV) - A First Alert Weather Day has been issued for Friday.
Another strong cold front is on the way to East Texas. The front is expected to arrive late Friday evening and push through East Texas overnight into early Saturday.
Showers could start early in the day Friday, but the main round of thunderstorms will develop just along the advancing cold front by late afternoon and evening.
Some of the storms could become strong to severe with hail and high winds the main threats.
The Storm Prediction Center has placed almost all of East Texas in a slight risk for severe storms for Friday night into Saturday morning.
Rain will end early Saturday with some partial clearing possible by Saturday afternoon.
