Upshur Co. Sheriff: Remains found identified as missing 24-year-old Longview woman

The Upshur County Sheriff's Office released information on Tuesday night about remains of a person which were found on Sunday.

Sheriff's officials say that preliminary autopsy results have led investigators to identify the body found on Sunday in a field on of FM 726 near Hwy 154 as Rachel Rhoads, 24. Rhoads was a resident of Longview.

Rhoads was reported missing by family on March 31 to Longview police. They are assisting Upshur County Sheriff's Office with the investigation, officials say. 

UCSO says that Rachel Rhoads' family has been notified of their findings.
