Smith County Commissioners decide not to add further regulations to food trucks

SMITH COUNTY, TX (KLTV) -

The Smith County Commissioners have decided not to add any additional regulations for food truck businesses requesting to use the T. B. Butler Square in downtown Tyler.

Smith County Judge Nathaniel Moran says the current application for use is built to ensure trucks arent damaging our property and [are] abiding by the health regulations and city ordinances.

Commissioners do not want food trucks to park their business on the square long-term, but with current applicants, the most any truck has requested to be on the square is two days a week.

'Say Cheese' food truck owner Chris Bostick says he thinks the decision will help not only his growing business, but food trucks in general.
