(KLTV/KTRE) - Houston Astros returned home for the first time since winning the World Series in epic fashion over the Dodgers. Bringing out the trophy they've been trying to get for 55 years. No home opener jitters for the champs who promptly jumped all over Baltimore in the early going. Alex Bregman opened the scoring with a double to bring home Brian McCann and they'd score next behind a Marwin Gonzalez deep ball see ya later homerun.
It was only right that the trophy was in Minute Maid Park representing what the Astros did last season going on to win Monday night 6-1. They're the team to beat, but not easy going to back to back World Series, let along winning them both. Yankees last did in in 1999, and 2000. But the team knows one game at at a time is how you do it. And that we know they understand how to make it happen.
