HENDERSON COUNTY, TX (KLTV) -

A woman has been arrested and charged with dealing a substantial amount of methamphetamine.

Hollie Jo Grimes, 42, of Jacksonville was stopped on Highway 155 near Frankston for a traffic violation.

Grimes was acting suspiciously so the deputy conducted a search of the vehicle.

A purse in the front passenger seat yielded six Ziploc-style baggies containing the clear, crystal-like substance that proved in a field test to be the illegal drug.

The deputy also found a loaded .32 caliber handgun and a small digital scale, commonly used by drug dealers to measure the contraband for distribution. Additionally, he discovered a pill bottle illegally containing prescription drugs.

Grimes was arrested and charged with felony manufacturing and delivery of a controlled substance between 4 grams and 200 grams. Her vehicle was impounded.

She also faces charges with unlawfully carrying a weapon and for having the prescription drugs in and a baggie, hidden inside an over-the-counter pill bottle.
