EAST TEXAS (KLTV) - The slow-moving cold front has stalled right in the middle of East Texas and will continue to be the focus for waves of heavy rain throughout the day.
The heaviest rain will shift south into areas of Deep East Texas by this afternoon and evening. Rain comes to an end overnight into Thursday morning.
The main threat with much of the activity will be heavy rainfall. A flash flood watch is in effect through Thursday morning for all of East Texas. A few embedded thunderstorms later this afternoon could become strong to severe, especially in Deep East Texas. These storms could produce frequent lightning, gusty winds and small hail. An isolated tornado can not be ruled out.
