TYLER, TX (KLTV) -

From Tyler Independent School District:

During the March 26 monthly board meeting, the Tyler ISD Board of Trustees approved attendance zones for the 2018-2019 school year for its 17 elementary schools.

"With the District's board and administration's continued commitment to the Tyler community to be good stewards with taxpayer money and facilities, the approved elementary school attendance zones will continue our goal of focusing on increasingly leveled student allotments," Superintendent Dr. Marty Crawford said.

Adjusting the elementary school attendance zones will balance enrollment projections, continue to offer neighborhood schools, provide efficiencies in resource allocation and allow administrative tools to be deployed prior to considering a tax referendum, Dr. Crawford added.

The District website provides a link for parents and families to access that confirms the elementary, middle and high school pattern for which they are zoned. Letters from the district containing zoning information will also be sent to each Tyler ISD household. For more information on attendance zones for the 2018-2019 school year, please click here.  You can call Tyler ISD Constituent Services with any questions at 903-262-3073.
