EAST TEXAS (KLTV) - Good Monday morning, East Texas! A mild start with temperatures in the 60s this morning. Expect another day today a lot like what we've seen this weekend, with mostly cloudy skies. Warm and breezy at times this afternoon with high temperatures reaching near 80 degrees. A very slight chance for a sprinkle or an isolated shower, especially in far northern areas, but most places will probably remain dry. A very slow-moving storm system will reach East Texas tomorrow and bring with it heavy rainfall and the chance for a few strong to severe thunderstorms by tomorrow afternoon and evening. The main threats with these storms will be large hail and gusty winds, along with possible flash flooding. Because the storm system is moving so slowly, the threats will remain in the forecast through Wednesday. Therefore Tuesday and Wednesday will both be First Alert Weather Days. A few showers could linger into Thursday with clearing skies just in time for Friday and the weekend.
