PANOLA COUNTY, TX (KLTV) - Funeral services will be held Friday for a Tatum man who was killed after his vehicle was struck by an 18-wheeler.
Khrystopher Davis, 24, was killed on March 15, when his vehicle collided with an 18-wheeler on Texas 43, South of Tatum.
A preliminary investigation shows that Davis made an improper turn. The 18-wheeler, driven by Robert Bolin, 41, of Palestine, was traveling north on 43 and was cresting a hill. Davis was on the northbound shoulder and attempted to make a U-turn. Bolin tried to stop the semi in time but could not avoid hitting the side of Davis' vehicle.
Davis and his passenger, Chloe Harding, were airlifted to ETMC in Tyler.
Davis died March 16 just after 5 p.m. Harding's condition is unknown.
Bolin was not cited for the wreck.
DPS has determined alcohol was not a factor in the crash.
The family of Davis will be receiving friends from 6-8 p.m. Thursday night at Crawford A. Crim Funeral Home, located at 1414 South Main Street in Henderson.
Davis' funeral will be held on Friday, March 23 at 4 p.m. at the funeral home.
Davis is scheduled to be buried at Vinson Cemetery in Tatum.
