GREGG COUNTY, TX (KLTV) - A Tyler man has been indicted after leading DPS on a high-speed pursuit in January, that spanned through Gregg and Smith Counties.
Aaron Slagle, 37, of Tyler has been indicted for evading arrest with a vehicle and forgery.
On Jan. 24, 2018, Slagle along with his passenger, Kalie Kinlaw, 35, of Kilgore, led DPS on a chase after a highway patrol officer attempted to stop the 2008 Chevrolet Malibu they were driving in for a traffic violation.
The chase began near Fritz Swanson Road and Goforth Road in Gregg County.
The suspect and two trooper patrol units chasing after Slagle collided at the intersection of FM 1252 and CR 3104 in Smith County.
Slagle and Kinwal were then transported to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
Both were later taken to the Gregg County Jail. Slagle had two previous warrants for evading arrest with a vehicle out of Dallas County and Marion County.
Slagle is currently in jail on a $100,000 bond.
