EAST TEXAS (KLTV) - Showers have moved out overnight. There are only a few lingering showers this morning. Most in East Texas are dry by lunchtime when mostly sunny skies will return. Monday will be windy with winds picking up to 10-20 mph from the west. Highs will be nice and mild, in the mid to upper 70s.
Tuesday is the official first day of Spring! After a cold front passes Monday morning, cooler air will continue to filter in behind the front. The cooler air will really kick in Tuesday. Tuesday will include sunshine but afternoon highs will drop into the mid to upper 60, but still expecting to be a delightfully nice day. Tuesday could be a little windy, with a northwesterly flow coming in at 10-15 mph.
The rest of the work week will be mostly dry. There is a very slim chance for a shower Friday. Most of the week will feature sunshine, but as we close out the week, clouds return by Friday. Highs will be mostly in the mid to upper 70s. The weekend will hold on to those cloudy conditions and will include small rain chances, but not a washout by any means. Overall, a pretty nice week, especially to kick of Spring!
