Motorcyclist, alleged meth dealer fails to outrun Henderson County deputies

ATHENS, TX (KLTV) - An Athens-area methamphetamine dealer was arrested Thursday after leading Henderson County deputies on a chase through town on a motorcycle.

Bill Monday, 33, was believed to be in Athens with a large amount of illegal narcotics.

According to the Henderson County Sheriff's Office, Monday refused to stop his motorcycle when he spotted a deputy. A lengthy chase ensued across the west side of Athens.

The suspect was eventually taken into custody and was brought to the Henderson County Jail where he faces several charges including manufacture and delivery of a controlled substance. He was also charged with tampering with physical evidence and evading arrest on a motor vehicle.

Monday's bond has not yet been set.
