Police arrest suspect after shots fired at Tyler rehab, nursing home

TYLER, TX (KLTV) - Police have arrested a man accused of firing shots at a Tyler rehabilitation center.
 
Around 9:23 p.m. Thursday, officers responded to multiple reports of shots fired in the 2800 block of Shiloh Road just before 9:30 Thursday night.

Witnesses reported spotting a possible suspect leaving the area of The Waterton at Shiloh, then enter the nearby Chelsea Creek Apartments.

Tyler Police later took 21-year-old Juan Carlos Garcia into custody.

A handgun was found at the scene, a news release stated. No one was seriously injured.

Garcia was booked into the Smith County Jail and faces charges of Robbery, Deadly Conduct, Possession of Marijuana and Criminal Mischief.
