TYLER, TX (KLTV) - Stephen F. Austin State University fans and alumni gathered in Tyler today to cheer on the Lumberjacks.
Tonight, the basketball team played in the first round of the NCAA tournament.
Despite their loss, the school spirit was high as watch party goers sported their SFA gear and turned A Tyler restaurant white and purple.
"We think it's always good to get here when your team is especially dancing at the NCAA," says Brian Tuttle an SFA alumnus. "We've got a lot of good Lumberjacks in East Texas.
"The boys always do all that they can and this is coach Keller's second year," says SFA alumna Jazmin Lau. "I think for two years to come right back in after coach Underwood I think it's a good thing.
