TYLER, TX (KLTV) - A Tyler woman who allegedly attacked two women with a candlestick and a knife is now facing formal charges.
Natasha Woods, 31, of Tyler, was indicted March 1 by a Smith County grand jury. Woods is charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and injury to a child.
Woods was arrested on Jan. 24 at a home in the 1500 block of Academy Avenue in Tyler.
Police said at the time of her arrest that Woods allegedly hit a 33-year-old woman in the head with a candlestick and stepped on a 13-year-old's foot. The woman who was struck was found bleeding from the head. The victims also told police that Woods brandished a knife during the assault.
Police said Woods also resisted arrest when they tried to take her into custody.
The victims told police they thought Woods might be taking drugs, including PCP.
