WILLS POINT, TX (KLTV) - A Rowlett man was arrested after leading multiple departments on a chase.
The incident began in Forney on Monday night at 10:18. The Forney Police Department says they initiated a traffic stop headed eastbound on Hwy 80 at Gateway Boulevard. However, the vehicle did not stop, and led police on a chase for 36 minutes, police say. The suspect vehicle was disabled near Hwy 80 and 4th Street in Wills Point, and the driver was taken into custody.
Aaron Woodcock, 36, of Rowlett, was charged with DWI, Resisting Arrest, and Evading, which is a state jail felony. Woodcock was booked into the Kaufman County Jail.
Assisting Forney PD in the incident were Van Zandt County Sheriff's Office, Texas DPS, Wills Point Police Department, and the Kaufman County Sheriff's Office.
