(KLTV) - Students and teachers across the United States plan to walk out of schools tomorrow in memory of those killed in the shooting at Stoneman Douglas High school and to urge lawmakers to pass stricter gun laws.
The walkout is scheduled for tomorrow, March 14, at 10 a.m and is planned to last 17 minutes to commemorate the 17 people who lost their lives when a gunman opened fired at Stoneman Douglas high school, according to CNN.
The youth branch of the Women's March, EMPOWER, created the idea and has encouraged students to get involve and organize protests. According to the Women's March website, there are more than 2,500 protests scheduled to occur tomorrow.
