EAST TEXAS (KLTV) - The sky is mostly clear and temperatures to start the day are near 40 degrees. Jackets are highly recommended this morning. Afternoon highs are expected to be on either side of 60 degrees.
High pressure to the north will influence our weather pattern for the next few days. Sunshine will grace the sky today and tomorrow. Winds will shift to a southerly flow Wednesday. A warming trend will be in effect through the week. By the weekend highs will be near 80 degrees.
Rain enters the forecast again towards the end of the work week. A few showers and storms are expected for the overnight hours and early Friday morning, but no severe weather is expected at this time. Rain chances will continue through the weekend. The greatest chance for rain comes Sunday with chances for showers and storms. Next Monday could still have a lingering shower but most will be dry.
