Two arrested in Henderson County for meth, pipes

HENDERSON COUNTY, TX (KLTV) - Two people were arrested in Trinidad Thursday afternoon and charged with possession after deputies discovered methamphetamine and three pipes.

Gerald Williams Jr., 50, and Amy Smith, 37 were stopped in their vehicle after committing a traffic violation.

Williams was driving on FM 1667 in Trinidad when he turned on Highway 31.

The pair acted suspiciously, according to deputies, during the stop.

Smith was placed under arrest after a deputy discovered she was carrying a pipe used to smoke the contraband. Williams was arrested when two more pipes, a baggie containing what is believed to be methamphetamine and another baggie containing marijuana was discovered.

Both Williams and Smith were charged with possession of illegal drugs.

They were both taken to the Henderson County Jail. Smith's bond was set at $8,500. Williams bond was set at $10,500.
