CHAPEL HILL, TX (KLTV) - Chapel Hill firefighters responded to a fire in the Chapel Hill area Thursday afternoon.

Chapel Hill Fire Department responded to the fire in the 1500 block of Tuscon Oaks around 1 p.m, along with Arp, Jackson Heights, and Whitehouse.

According to the Smith County Fire Marshal's Office, the fire was caused by outdoor burning that got out of control.

The home was deemed a total loss.

No one was home at the time of the fire and no one was injured.

The SCFMO reminds residents to use caution when burning and never leave a fire unattended.
