LONGVIEW, TX (KLTV) - Longview crews have extinguished a fire on Page Road that damaged two vehicles, a hot tub and a carport.

About 4 p.m. Tuesday, Longview Fire Department said firefighters responded to the 2800 block of Page Road in response to a fire. Longview Police Department officers also responded to the scene to assist with traffic control.

When firefighters arrived, they say a carport attached to the house was on fire. A truck, a car and a hot tub were all underneath the port. The hot tub sustained the most damage.

Someone was home at the time of the fire but no injuries have been reported.

The fire was extinguished before it spread to the home and officials say the cause remains under investigation.

Wednesday, the fire department released a statement on the fire.

On March 6, 2018 the Longview Fire Department responded to 2802 Page Road for a reported structure fire. When crews arrived, they found multiple items on fire under a carport. These items included a vehicle, hot tub, stacked fire wood and other combustibles. The fire was stopped before spreading into the house but it did damage the exterior siding of the residence. A second vehicle had been parked under the carport as well and did receive some damage but the occupants were able to move it prior to the fire department arriving on scene. There were no reported injuries. The cause of the fire has not been determined but it is believed to be accidental.
