Hurricane Katrina Gains Strength

Katrina is expected to make landfall on Florida's southeastern coast as a category 1 hurricane with winds up to 74 mph. Although emergency officials have yet to issue any evacuation orders, storm watches and warnings are in effect for many along the coast.
