There is a lot of excitement surrounding the John Tyler football team these days, and fans got a chance to show their support tonight. The school held it's annual Lions Night Out celebration on campus, introducing the team and showing Cujo spirit. The team is now less than 48 hours away from opening the Thomas Brooks era, and lions fans can't wait.
"We're just glad to have this turnout like it is," saidJohn Tyler Football Mom's Club President Faye Baxter-Jones, "and we're just glad to see everyone come out and support us. That ol' Cujo Spirit is going to come back alive, and it's going to shock everybody."
The Lions open their season at home Friday night against Texas High.
