TYLER, TX (News Release) The FRESH 15 race staff is working with city police and fire to accommodate Tyler commuters on race morning, March 3, in south Tyler. This year is the fifth race, which will include a 15K and 5K and both start at 7 a.m.

The 15K and 5K race courses, which start and end at the FRESH by Brookshire’s store, will give runners a scenic view of South Tyler. Tyler Police, along with FRESH 15 race staff and volunteers, will direct traffic.  Residents and businesses along the race route have been notified.

Some roads will be temporarily closed Saturday morning. Old Jacksonville Highway and Oak Hill Blvd. will close intermittently from 6:45 – 8 a.m. Dueling Oaks Dr. will be closed, at times, from 6:45 – 9 a.m.

The 15K and 5K race routes travel through the Hollytree neighborhood. Tyler Police are encouraging residents not to leave vehicles parked on the streets overnight March 2, or on the morning of March 3, to allow access for emergency vehicles.

Since the inaugural FRESH 15 in 2014, over 16,000 runners and 2,400 volunteers have participated in raising more than $500,000 for charities that support strength, stability and safety for families.

Runner registration is open online until midnight March 2. The FRESH 15 is for the entire community, runners and supporters alike. For more information, visit, or questions can be emailed to
